Summer’s all about the good vibes and feeling good, which is why we often like to replace our drinks for something a little more festive. This usually means lots of alcohol, and lots of sugar. But as we all know by know, it’s not exactly the healthiest choice we can make.
Turns out, going for the healthy option does not mean giving up on cocktails and boring ourselves with the old, plain water. On the contrary. If you want to keep delighting your taste buds with colourful, tasty drinks, keep reading. You’ll find yourself indulging in these fruity mocktails as often as possible. See it for yourself!
The rainbow sparkling water mocktail
This one is just straight up amazing and very easy to make. You’ll most probably not be making any extra effort to create these fun mocktails. You can use any fruits you have at home, really, but the fun part of it is using fruits that cover all of the colours of the rainbow. It’ll be delicious and delighting to the eye. It’s a win-win.
To make this easy mocktail, put some crushed ice into the glass you’re going to use. Then, add all of the fruits you’ve chosen; try to make it extra colourful. Next, add some more crushed ice, and top if off with some coconut water. The last step is simply adding some flavoured sparkling water, like vanilla, coconut or passion fruit flavours, and there you go! You’ve made your own rainbow sparkling water mocktail you’ll be able to enjoy anytime!
The pink-drink
This one is almost even easier than the previous one, if that’s even possible. You just need three ingredients: strawberry sparkling water, dried frozen strawberries, and coconut milk. Put some dried frozen strawberries in your glass and pour the strawberry sparkling water over it. Stir it well and let is sit for a couple of minutes. Then, add some ice, and finally pour the coconut milk on top. Stir again, and you’re good to go!
This recipe is absolutely amazing: it’s super tasteful as well as incredibly healthy. It has no alcohol, it’s sugarfree, paleo and vegan. It’s the perfect drink if you’re into such things. If not, you’ll enjoy it just as much: it’s straight up delicious!
Fig, hibiscus and raspberry mocktail
You will have to divide this mocktail into two parts: first you’ll have to make the cold tea, after which you can then go onto actually making the refresher. Here’s how to make it: place some hibiscus flowers into a jar and pour boiling water on top. Let it sit for around 5 minutes, and then pour this tea you’ve made into another jar. Don’t include the hibiscus flowers.
After, make sure you add some honey and stir it well enough until it dissolves. You can then go onto the second part of the drink. Make sure you refrigerate this tea you’ve made while preparing the rest of it.
In a different jar, add raspberries, figs and mint and smash them together. You can then add the cold tea and make sure you stir it well. A great option is straining the mixture in order to get rid of the pulp. Now you’ve got your fresh mocktail! For a last, final touch you can choose to add a lime wedge and some mint. Enjoy!
Watermelon refresher
This drink is great if you’re a watermelon lover. We believe this fruit is great for the summer as it’s incredibly juicy and refreshing. Want to try it out? We tell you how.
For this drink you’ll have to throw some seedless watermelon into a blender and puree it. Then, add some lime juice and some agave and blend it again. Finally, pour it into a glass and top it off with some sparkling water. Super easy and super refreshing. You’ll immediately feel the heat leaving your body.
Mojitos with a twist
Who doesn’t just love a nice mojito, especially during summer time. But for this drink we’re going to change it up a little. Take some mint, some lime juice and some agave and smash it together a little in a glass. Then, add some ice and some blood oranges purée and finish it off with some sparkling water. For a nice, final touch, you can add some fresh mint to the glass, and voilà, your own virgin mountain mojito.
